Sustainable yarns great for the environment and your family! Hoooked Recycled DK cotton is made with respect for the environment and free of any additional dyes or toxic substances.  Soft Cotton DK is made of 80% recycled cotton and 20% other recycled fibres.

This cotton yarn is super versatile and can be used for a variety of projects, such as amigurumi, summer tops, soft blankets, spring jumpers and baby items.

A perfect yarn for making soft textures in both crochet and knit.

Love the composition, struggling with it splitting

I love the fact that it is recycled cotton with other recycled fibers, though it would be nice to know what the other fibers are, just in case it was recycled polyester or something.. which defeats the purpose of being environmentally friendly. I have been crocheting with this and it takes a while to get used to, especially if you are experimenting what material hook you are using to crochet with - some could let the cotton slide and some have greater friction which makes it difficult to work fast. It also tends to split since it is a lower grade cotton (due to being recycled), so it is very easy to miss a strand or hook too many. I've avoided this problem as much as I could by loosening my tension and working slower. It is definitely usable but not really ideal if you want to work fast. The colour choices are wonderful, so I'll still give this brand a go.

Lovely cotton to crochet in to scrubbies. Makes 2 decent squares and 2 circles about 8cm diameter. A good price for how much cotton there is. Love the colour.
